Oily scalps, dandruff problems, hair fall and split ends! Tired of it? Maintaining hair is indeed requires a good amount of time but is necessary that rather than treating it like a task make it a part of your weekly routine process. First and foremost use a mild shampoo. Some of the shampoos that are available in the market today are quite harsh on the hair and this causes a lot of hair loss. Hence, use a mild shampoo like a baby shampoo to clean your hair. You really do not want a greasy scalp especially if you have straight hair because they will fall flat on your face. Hence, absolutely avoid eating friend and sugary food because these are food items that will give you nothing but greasy oily scalp! In case you have colored your hair or have treated them with some chemicals, do not let your hair get wet in the rain because this too can cause hair fall. If your hair stays wet for a long time, it makes your scalp vulnerable to fungal infections causing sticky oily dandruff. So before leaving house wash and dry your hair well.

In earlier times or people in the rural are oil their hair quite often which makes their hair so healthy. In today’s times, we hardly have time to oil our hair and wash them hence people postpone oiling their hair and do it just once a month or not even that! But let me tell you that the key to good hair is the fact that you need to oil them twice a week – period. Oiling nourishes the scalp, improves circulation, reduces static, prevents hair fall due to breakage. Coconut oil is great for hair as this has anti fungal and anti bacterial properties. Try and get a hot oil massage – it will not only relax you but improve blood circulation and the health of your hair. In case you suffer from hair fall, use a detangler or a leave on conditioner which will act like a protective sheath on your hair.
